Primitive, globular vittelus, rectilinear disappears progressively. Day 2-3: very active, characteristic rapid undulations. Day 3: Non-rayed pectorals appear. Day 4: horizontal swimming, vittelus very reduced, swim bladder appear, well formed with organs for predatory life at 5.6 mm LT.
