Description of life cycle and mating behavior Mature at 3 years of age. Spawns from May to June, with water temperatures from 19-25 C°. Eggs are pasted at underwater plants. Egg diameter about 2mm. Development time about 4 days. Larvae live pelagic for the first 6 days.
