Description of life cycle and mating behavior Male guards a relatively large territory, within this area a number of females occupy smaller territories. Male courts and mates with each female. Females lay eggs on the roof of the cave and tend them. Eggs hatch in 3 to 4 days and the fry are guarded for a time by the females (Ref. 7020).
