Color of Eggs
Color of Oil Globule
Additional Characters During the early development of the egg, an early appearance of a black pigment as intense streaks along the sides of the embryo ending in a rounded disc of melanophores, which separated posteriorly is remarkable. The eggs at first had several oil globules which later coalesced to one. When the embryo was half-way round, the circulatory system over the yolk was developing, and the eyes were pigmented (Ref. 40662).
