Caracteres Adicionales Egg hatches in about 30 hours at 20 to 25°C, or 48 hours at 18°C (Ref. 189). Eggs are primarily inshore. Spawning maxima are confined to a 200 km long inshore zone at the southern limit of anchovy fishing operations in South African waters and eggs were present from October to January (Ref. 5447).
