Diagnosis: | Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 5-5. Preserved color nearly light brown all over, dusky above; operculum with a blackish irregular spot; lips and lower jaw black; pale fins. 11-15 scales between nape and dorsal; 2.5 scales from ventrals to lateral line. Scales with concentric striae, those on dorsal half also with longitudinal striae. | |||
