Family:  Urolophidae (Round rays)
Max. size:  59 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 60 - 300 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Australia. Resembles Urolophus bucculentus with which it overlaps in distribution in southern Queensland.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs on the continental shelf and uppermost slope (Ref. 9863). One of the largest tropical Australian stingarees.
