Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Gulf of Suez, Gulf of Oman, and Persian Gulf.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-14; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 13-14. Caudal fin slightly rounded.
