Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobionellinae
Max. size:  11 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 14.0 g
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; marine, amphidromous
Distribution:  Asia: Japan and Korea. Also known from the Kuril Islands and Sakhalin (Ref. 37812). Often misidentified as Tridentiger obscurus, a species that apparently does not extend farther north than Northern Honshu (Ref. 37812).
