Distribution:  Africa: Ubangui River (middle Congo River basin) in Central African Republic (Ref. 51287, 78218).
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 35-35. Number of dorsal branched fin rays: 5-5½ (Ref. 51287). Number of pectoral branched fin rays: 6-7 (Ref. 51287). Usually 3 pairs of ribs, sometimes 4 (Ref. 51287).
