Diagnosis:  Anteriormost 3 dorsal-fin spines originates over or immediately behind eye and widely separated from the remainder of the fin. Body smooth; covered with numerous elongate cirri, especially anteriorly. Lachrymal weakly ossified, without spine (Ref. 39602).
