Max. size:  11 cm SL (male/unsexed); 9.3 cm SL (female)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 350 - 2189 m
Distribution:  North Pacific: southeastern Okhotsk Sea, Kuril Islands and southeastern Kamchatka, Bering Sea, southern British Columbia to central California, USA.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 68; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 60. Pectoral fin shallowly notched; disk absent (Ref. 28160). Skin transparent, dusky posteriorly; musculature tan; mouth, branchial cavity and peritoneum black; stomach and pyloric caeca pale (Ref. 28160).
