Max. size:  31.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific and Southwest Atlantic: Chilean and Argentine Patagonia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 22-25; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 12-13. Pelvic fins small. Body pale brown with irregular dark blotches. Color variation recognized, from yellowish to dark brown (Ref. 27363).
Biology:  Feeds mainly on benthic animals, polychaetes, small crustaceans, and mollusks (Ref. 27363).
