Max. size:  9.13 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 10 - 10 m,
Distribution:  Africa: endemic to Lake Malawi, found in the northern part of the lake (Ref. 26078, 80784).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found over the rock-sand interface, sand and rocky habitats (Ref. 26078). An algae browser with a long, beak-like snout occurring in the upper rocky habitat (Ref. 80784).
