Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 25-25; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 24-24; Vertebrae: 36-36. Diagnosis: Lacks photophores, with light coloration of the bucco-branchial cavity; no teeth on tongue; about 5 widely dispersed on the palatunum; 4 rows of teeth on the praemaxillare and dentale, divided by distinct gaps, and with a long upper jaw (Ref. 57779).
