Family:  Pseudochromidae (Dottybacks), subfamily: Pseudochrominae
Max. size:  7.2 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 2 - 30 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs usually around bases of small rocks or coral heads on sandy bottoms. Has been reared in captivity (Ref. 35411).
