Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea to the Persian Gulf.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Pelagic (Ref. 68964). An inshore species usually observed in small aggregations. Oviparous (Ref. 205). Eggs may be found attached to objects in the water by tendrils on the egg's surface (Ref. 205). Feeds mainly on small fishes (Ref. 68964).
