Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to Lake Tanganyika.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults are usually found over rocks, either solitary or in aggregation (Ref. 86760). Feed by scraping rock biocover (Ref. 6770). Females brood their young in the mouth (Ref. 86760).
