Max. size:  23.65 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 10 - 30 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: India.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 17-18; Anal soft rays: 13-13. This species is characterized by its wide head (37.1-43.6%SL); dorsal-fin rays 17-18; anal-fin rays 13; pectoral-fin rays 21-23; a shallow, funnel-shaped pocket in the upper pectoral-fin axil; body and fins covered with small dark spots (Ref. 86922).
