Family:  Percidae (Perches), subfamily: Etheostomatinae
Max. size:  13 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: known only from Brazos, Colorado, Guadalupe and San Antonio River drainages in Texas, USA. Nearly confined to Edwards Plateau.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky riffles and runs of small to medium rivers (Ref. 5723).
