A slender, cylindrical, straw-colored minnow distinguished by a broad depigmented supralateral stripe along side bordered ventrally by narrow, black midlateral stripe and dorsally by darkly pigmented dorsal scale margins; predorsal stripe wanting or obsolescent; and postdorsal stripe absent (Ref. 31523). No breeding colors (Ref. 31523). Breeding male pectoral fin with shagreen-like tubercle arrangement (Ref. 31523). |

Inhabits clean, clear waters of flowing pools and runs (Ref. 31523). Found over bottoms with fractured bedrock, cobble, and gravel mixed with clear sand (Ref. 31523). Reaches a maximum length of less than 6 cm SL (Ref. 31523). |
