Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range - 786 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: known only from the holotype collected in India.
Diagnosis:  Posterior nostril far behind occiput, posterior to midpoint between snout tip and anus. Median supratemporal pore absent. Anterior vomerine teeth not enlarged. Predorsal 34% preanal, head 33% preanal.
