Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 50 - 510 m
Distribution:  Indian Ocean: Saint Paul and Amsterdam Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 12-12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 4-5; Vertebrae: 24-24. No slit behind the fourth gill arch; posterior margin of the pectoral fin deeply incised between the middle and lower fin rays.
