Distribution:  Mediterranean Sea: Off Blanes.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 46-46. Branchiostegal rays 4. Adipose fin pigmented at the base. Body generally brown (Ref. 41397).
Biology:  Also mesopelagic. Three specimens known (2 females, 1 damaged) (Ref. 36163).
