Family:  Bagridae (Bagrid catfishes)
Max. size:  14.6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Irrawaddy, Sittang and lower Salween basins in Myanmar. It may occur in Thailand but has not yet been collected there.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 40-42. Differs from most other species of Mystus sensu stricto in having a large, triangular midpeduncular spot. Maxillary barbel extending posteriorly to anal fin origin.
Biology:  Oviparous, distinct pairing possibly like other members of the same family (Ref. 205).
