Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Cyprininae
Max. size:  7.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Mekong basin. Reported from the Chao Phraya (Ref. 26336).
Diagnosis:  A pair of maxillary barbels; a black distal margin on the dorsal fin; numerous scales on the sides with dark crescent-shaped marks on their base (Ref. 27732). Body relatively slender, depth 3.3-3.5 times in SL (Ref. 43281).
Biology:  Inhabits streams with clear, swift waters, often close to riffles (Ref. 27732).
