Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 7.40000009536743 - 8.39999961853027; dH range: 7 - 30; depth range - 10 m
Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to the southern part of Lake Malawi. Recorded from Nkhota Kota, Malawi.
Diagnosis:  Description: molariform pharyngeal dentition (Ref. 55954).
Biology:  Common on sandy coasts and prefers that portion of the sandy coast where a thin layer of silt supports a rich fauna of snails (Ref. 5595).
