Environment:  bathypelagic; marine, oceanodromous
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: south of Zanzibar and southeast of Mauritius.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-13; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 18-19
Biology:  High-oceanic and mesopelagic; nyctoepipelagic at the surface.
