Family:  Moringuidae (Worm or spaghetti eels)
Max. size:  120 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; brackish; marine; depth range 2 - 15 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: East Africa to the Tuamoto Islands, north to the Ryukyus, south to Australia; throughout Micronesia.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 153-160. Pectoral fins absent (Ref. 1602). Description: Characterized by its yellowish or orange color, grading to white ventrally; body depth 75-105 in TL; HL 16-19 in TL; around 100 lateral-line pores anterior to anus (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Burrowing species (Ref. 7300).
