Max. size:  23 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Kerala, India.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in marshy areas, paddy fields, ditches and ponds (Ref. 41236). Burrows in the bottom of ditches and pools (Ref. 4833). The male guards and builds nest or burrow (Ref. 205).
