Family:  Creediidae (Sandburrowers)
Max. size:  2.205 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 1 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Northern Red Sea, Gulf of Aqaba (Israel and Egypt).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 22-24; Anal soft rays: 24-26. This species is a very small Limnichthys characterized by the following: origin of anal fin preceding that of dorsal fin, dorsal-fin rays 22-24; anal-fin rays 24-26; pectoral-fin rays 13-15; a strongly developed lateral strip; dorsal saddles 11-14. the posterior 2-4 of which reach the midlateral stripe (Ref. 89960).
