Family:  Apogonidae (Cardinalfishes), subfamily: Apogoninae
Max. size:  14 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 3 - 15 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Indonesia and Brunei.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 8-8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Description: Characterized by pale grey to silvery color; 13-14 narrow brown stripes on side of body; fins, dusky brown to reddish; greatest depth of body 2.5-3.0 in SL (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Solitary or in small groups. Found in caves and ledges on coastal reefs in 3-15 m (Ref 90102).
