Family:  Gobiesocidae (Clingfishes and singleslits), subfamily: Lepadogastrinae
Max. size:  7.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: from Scotland to Senegal, the Canary islands and Madeira islands and the Mediterranean, at least as far east as Genoa (Italy).
Biology:  Occurs on rocky, seaweed covered shores, particularly among small boulders. Most common in the intertidal zone amongst the algae Himanthalia and Laminaria (Ref. 4489).
