Max. size:  5.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 7.19999980926514; dH range: 8, non-migratory
Distribution:  South America: Amazon River basin, Venezuela.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-10; Anal soft rays: 11-14. Distinguished from all known species of Rivulus by the elongation, in males, of the dorsal and ventral caudal-fin rays to form a lyretail (Ref. 26751).
Biology:  Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
