Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 11-12. Preorbital serrae 23-26; body depth 2.6-3.0 in SL; orbital diameter 2.9-3.2 in head length; maxilla extending to or slightly posterior to a vertical at anterior edge of pupil; caudal concavity 2.8-3.1 in head length (Ref. 41640).
