Family:  Pseudochromidae (Dottybacks), subfamily: Congrogadinae
Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 12 - 15 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: South Africa, Comoros, and Mauritius.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 45-50; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 36-40. Shoulder without the ocellated spot. Anterior interorbital pore absent. Preopercular canal with 6 pores. No scales on cheeks, opercles and nape. Gill membranes fused ventrally and free from isthmus.
Biology:  Known from limestone and coral reefs.
