Max. size:  3.3 cm SL (male/unsexed); 6.3 cm SL (female)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; dH range: 10 - 25, non-migratory
Distribution:  Central America: Cuba.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in pools and along banks, occasionally in swift water, in highland streams. A midwater and bottom swimmer, occasionally at or near the surface. Sensitive to high chlorine content and warm, turbid, poorly oxygenated, stagnant water. Feeds on diatoms, algae, detritus and insect larvae.
