Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Labeoninae
Max. size:  8.15 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 0 - 1 m
Distribution:  Asia: Myanmar.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 7-7; Vertebrae: 23-24. A small species of Garra with shallow rostral furrow and smoothly rounded snout tip, rostral lobe present, proboscis absent, predorsal region, chest and abdomen scaled, two pairs of barbels, lateral line scales 28, circumpeduncular scales 16.
Biology:  This fish could be a potential aquarium species (Fang, 2004, pers. comm.)
