Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 5.80000019073486 - 7.19999980926514, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: Alima and Likouala Rivers in Republic of Congo, as well as in Pool Malebo (Ref. 87349). Reports from other localities (eg Ruki, middle Congo near Kisangani or Lualaba River; Ref. 27139) are probably misidentifications (Ref. 87349).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs mainly in the shallow and weedy parts of brooks, small streams and swamps in the rainforest (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish. Bottom spawner, 1 month incubation (Ref. 27139).
