Max. size:  20.96 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Colombia.
Diagnosis:  It has a disjunct midabdominal plate series, at the front part of the body it has four lateral plate series, a long snout and hexagonal anterior median lateral plates.
Biology:  Found in a clear water stream with slow to moderate current over a sandy substrate with round stones, gravel and leaf litter. The largest specimen was a male measuring 20.96 cm in standard length (Ref. 128477).
