Family:  Dinopercidae (Cavebasses)
Max. size:  30.7 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 20 - 40 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: known from the type which was taken at the mouth of the Congo river, Congo Dem. Rep. and several specimens reported from 9°20'S, 1°04'E and 8°25'S, 13°15'E (off Angola).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found over sand and rock in coastal waters (Ref. 2683).
