Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Oceania: endemic to Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in rivers and brackish water. Prefers still water and occurs both in shallow sandy areas and deeper rock pools. Feeds on fishes, crustaceans and aquatic insects.
