Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Europe: Lake Skadar basin, Moraca drainage in Montenegro.
Diagnosis:  Diagnosed from its congeners in Europe by the following combination of characters: pelvic fin origin beneath base of branched dorsal rays 2-4; back between nape and end of dorsal base with 2-4 dark blotches; caudal fin slightly emarginate; caudal peduncle depth 1.4-1.8 times in its length, 1.4-1.6 times in body depth (Ref. 59043).
Biology:  Inhabits streams and rivers with stone and gravel bottom (Ref. 59043).
