Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 7.40000009536743 - 8
Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to Chitende Island, Lake Malawi.
Biology:  Found over sand in intermediate habitats where rocks are lying over sand. Feeds on bottom-dwelling invertebrates (Ref. 5595).
