Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 7.19999980926514 - 8.19999980926514; dH range: 10 - 30
Distribution:  Africa: endemic to Lake Malawi; reported from in Chipoka, Maleri Islands, Nkhomo, and Usisya.
Biology:  Found in areas with scattered rocks on a sandy bottom. Feeds on bottom-dwelling invertebrates (Ref. 5595).
