Body small, spotted, very pale covered with widely-spaced, sharply-defined dark brown spots; dark spots or blotches beneath the eye absent; head and preoral length relatively long. Caudal peduncle slender, dorsal, anal and pelvic fins low; anal-fin base equal to or shorter than pelvic-anal space. Teeth ridged, 5 cusps. Monospondylous centra 34-36. Posterior margin of first dorsal fin 0.59-0.69 times its base (Ref. 36718). |
