Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: Dja and Sangha drainages in Cameroon, Central African Republic and Republic of Congo (Ref. 47461). Also in the upper Ivindo (OgoouĂ© River basin) in north-western Republic of Congo (Ref. 80395). Possibly also in the upper Likouala in Republic of Congo (see map in Ref. 47461), but this needs confirmation. Report from upper Sanaga questionable and unconfirmed in Ref. 80395.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in brooks, swamps and small streams, mainly in the shallow parts in the rainforest and forested savanna (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
