Remarks Occur in rocky or coral-rich areas of deep lagoons, channels and outer reef slopes; usually in or near caves. Juveniles are found in tidepools. Feed on fish and crustaceans (Ref. 6113) with main food as benthic invertebrates >2 mm (Ref. 11889).
