Ecology of Chasmistes liorus

Remarks Formerly most common in deep waters of Utah Lake. Tributaries of lake were used for spawning. Adults are pelagic and feed on aquatic invertebrates in the mid-water column. Juveniles inhabit emergent vegetation, apparently as refuge from predators.
