Remarks Dwells on lower slopes to abyssal depths, from 350-3000m respectively. Found in water temperatures between 2.7°C to 4°C (Ref. 117245). Deep-water species. Prefers higher temperatures. Feeds on small fishes and crustaceans (Refs. 6902, 117245). Parasites of the species include Otodistomum veliporum, Otodistomum cestoides (trematode) and Lernaeopoda sp. (copepod) (Ref. 5951).
